INTRODUCTION
Taha is the Founder & CEO of Child Awareness Project.
She is also a Global Youth Ambassador at A World at School, an initiative of Theirworld, which is headed by Sarah Brown. This movement was launched in 2014 by then UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and UN Special Envoy for Global Education (and former British PM), Gordon Brown.
Taha is a resident physician in Boston, USA, where she is training to be a Pediatric Neurologist.*

As part of her role as a Global Youth Ambassador, Taha has written to donor governments at the World Humanitarian Summit in May 2016, to increase funding for emergency education. She was also selected to represent the #SafeSchools campaign during the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), in New York, in September 2016. She was selected as one of two A World at School Global Youth Ambassadors (GYA) worldwide (and the only one from India) to attend many meetings during the UNGA in New York and to support the cause of Education in Emergencies.
PAST EXPERIENCES
Additionally, Taha has engaged in various other voluntary activities such as planning lessons and teaching english to Burmese refugee children. She headed a female health education project in a children’s home to promote menstrual hygiene and remove the stigma surrounding it. She has also volunteered with Parkinson’s patients and fundraised and partaken in a health-screening & promotion project in a village. She has also taught English and mathematics to children with special needs
BLOGS
For International Day of the Girl on 11th October 2016, Taha wrote a blog for the United Nations Girls' Education Initiative.
During her time at the 2016 United Nations General Assembly for the #SafeSchools campaign, Taha co-blogged with her fellow Global Youth Ambassador, Ousmane Ba.
